Lock & Dam
The Lock and Dam is open
year round, every day from 9am to 5pm. View the fish ladder, navigational
locks and the giant generator. Fascinating for all ages! Special
tours can be arranged - call (541) 374-8820. Take exit 40 off
I-84.
Bonneville
Fish Hatchery
Tour the Fish Hatchery and Dam
for free -- year round. At the Hatchery, view giant Sturgeon
and beautiful trout in the ponds year-round. Spawning
salmon can be viewed during the fall.
The
Dalles & John Day Dams
Access to The Dalles and John Day Dams have been limited because
of Homeland Security directives. We are in the process of better securing
our main powerhouses and other necessary facilities so that we can reopen
parts of our project to the public for viewing and use.
