WHITE SALMON VALLEY COMMUNITY LIBRARY LAUNCHES SUMMER READING

Children can have fun and earn prizes while keeping their reading skills sharp with free summer reading programs at the White Salmon Valley Community Library.

The library's summer reading program, themed "Catch the Reading Bug!" runs June 1 through Aug. 31.

Children up to age 12 years old can sign-up and receive a summer reading activity booklet, reading log, bookmark, stickers, and events schedule.  For every five hours of reading logged, participants can visit the library to receive a certificate of achievement and a prize.  Completion of each additional five hours of reading earns another prize (while supplies last).
