to  Early Childhood Intervention, his delays have improved by leaps & bounds.

My mother & I don't always agree on alot and have a very strained relationship so anytime we have been on the... Read More

  • Attempted money scam after classified ad placed -- Last Post: Wednesday, June 30, 2010

Shortly after posting an ad in the classified section on both gorgekids and gorge.net I received an envelope addressed to me in the mail with no return address on it and a canadian stamp. Upon opening it I discovered a secret shopper/Western Union scam letter and a cashier's check for about $2,000 in my name. Fortunately, I am not stupid enough to fall for the scam, but was quite confused how someone could have gotten not only my name, but my address as well, as I never openly post my address online. Only thing I c... Read More

  • Hood River County Library Closes -- Last Post: Thursday, June 03, 2010

May 18, 2010 Hood River County voted not to support the formation of a new Library District.  Measure 14-37 was defeated: 46 % voted yes and 54% voted no. As a result, there is no funding to continue library operations and Hood River County Library closes its doors to the public on July 1, 2010. Branches at Cascade Locks and Parkdale were established in 1912, the same year that the Women’s Club received the Carnegie grant to build the Hood River building. This Library system has been in continuous operation for 98 ... Read More

I've been doing some research on preschools for the 2010/2011 school year, but I'd like to hear some reviews from parents who have experience with them. My son will only be
2 1/2 by the time school starts, so that will exclude us from a handful of programs. Any advice will be helpful. Thank you.... Read More
