Stephanie Pate - Spanish Tutoring ServicesProfessional Spanish interpreter and translator offering tutoring lessons to adults and children in the Hood River area. I have worked in Spanish linguistics for 20+ years. I have lived in Mexico and worked in several Spanish speaking countries as an interpreter. I currently perform translation work for clients all across the world. I am very knowledgeable about Latin culture and customs.

Carrie Anne WilcoxCarrie is a trained Orton-Gillingham tutor for dyslexic students who struggle with learning to read, write and spell. Carrie was trained three years ago at the Blosser Center for Dyslexia Resources in Portland, and currently resides in Corbett and is available to tutor at Cascade Locks or the Hood River Library.
Rates are $30 hour and it is recommended that sessions are twice a week. In addition to this training Carrie is a certified K-6 teacher, and has tremendous success helping students gain confidence in reading, writing and spelling.
Julie BelmoreJulie Belmore is a reading tutor using a program called Phono-Graphix. In most cases she is able to get a child to their grade level in reading in 12 hours of tutoring or less.
Julie has four years of experience with this program and has tutored over 70 students. Julie usually tutors in her home, but other arrangements are possible. She has worked with children as young as four all the way up to adults. Julie usually only needs to see students once a week for 45 to 60 minutes.
CHILDREN FIRST TUTORINGJohn Ritter has been working with students in Hood River for the past seven years. He offers specific subject assistance, after school enrichment, homework help, and aids parents who are home schooling.
John has a Master's Degree in Education, with nearly twenty years classroom experience, many of those years abroad.

Becka has been working with children and teens for over 10 years.
She is certified in both General and Special Education, holds a Masters in Special Education, and has teaching experience at all levels of education, preschool through high school.
Currently a stay-at-home mom, she is offering private lessons in beginning flute, 1st and 2nd year Spanish, and all other general subjects for elementary through 8th grade.
